TimeCodeNotes: V1.0.3

If you handle hundreds of hours of video every week, or do any creative collaboration with video, you know how frustrating it can be to do this simple thing: take notes with timecode.

TCNotes is a simple all-in-one solution that allows you to quickly and easily takes notes on any video clip, and then just as quickly and simply get it out into a useable format for your proposal or to share with your colleagues.

Ideal for Media Professionals, TC Notes provides a clean, high quality solution for anyone who needs to log show cuts or raw footage. For Executive Producers, Producers, Editors, and Media Loggers and anyone else who needs to take notes on video.

Features:

Simple easy interface: Drag and Drop a movie into the viewer and you are ready to go.

Auto timecode marking: Hit the 'add note' button or use the keyboard shortcut and the timecode is automatically marked for you.

Auto Frame Capture: The start frame is captured and embedded in the notes, making it easier to quickly see what the notes are about. Script notes are so much easier to read when you have the image right there as well.

In and Out: Quickly mark out times as well as your in times. Adjust them on the fly.

Familiar Controls: Use the arrows or 'j', 'k' and 'l' to scrub back and forth, just like final cut. Mark in and out with 'i' and 'o'. You don't need to learn new navigation.

Relative Timecode setting: Do your clips have embedded visual timecode? do they start at something crazy like 00:59:25;17? no problem. Set the timecode once and TCNotes keeps it in sync.

General Notes: just hit the button with the clip name and you have a handy place to take general clip notes.

Sharing notes: Save in native 'note' format for later use or export to RTF to share with your collaborators. RTF can include the frame captures and the general notes as well.

Quick Notes Search: Familiar search field to find that 'one' note.

Auto Bookmarking: Each note acts as a bookmark, taking you back to that place in the clip, greatly speeding up navigation.

Recently Added Feature: Support for more time code frame rates. Quickly and easily switch between formats at any time. In addition to 30FPS Non-Drop and 30 FPS drop (29.97) TCNotes now supports: 25, 24, and 23.976 FPS formats. Are you taking notes on the 23.976 original but your sound guys are referencing a 29.97 DF conversion? No problem. Take all your notes in 23.976, then just switch to the converted rate and all your notes will automatically change to the new format. This makes it quick and easy to generate notes for your multi-format workflow.

So Much More: spellcheck, auto play, auto pause, keyboard shortcuts, and a slew of features designed to make it easy for you to get your ideas down and get out of your way.

TCNotes is targeted at the professional film/video creative. The kind of person that is swimming in video clips and spends most of her time making notes for edits/cuts/promos/demos/whatever. The kind of person that needs a simple way to get her ideas down and into a proposal without wasting time.

Even if it only takes 10 seconds to transpose a timecode and double check it, after only 100 notes, you have wasted over 15 minutes doing something that should be automatic. How much do you get paid per hour? If you are a freelancer and you can do an hour worth of work in 45 minutes, then you just gave yourself a %125 raise.
